Man loses leg, but Rose, Klein and Marias successfully obtains a lifetime income award
Rose, Klein & Marias Spearheading Campaign for Injured Workers
San Diego – Mr. Robert Nares, a manual laborer, suffered a work injury in which his leg was amputated above the knee. As a result of Governor Schwarzenegger’s changes to the workers’ compensation system, the State Compensation Insurance Fund argued that Mr. Nares should only receive payments totaling $50,702.50, a drastic reduction from the payment he would have received prior to the passage of Governor Schwarzenegger’s workers’ compensation reform statute in April 2004.
Rose, Klein and Marias is spearheading the campaign to undo many of the unfair changes in Governor Schwarzenegger’s new law which placed limits on obtaining medical treatment, limits on temporary disability and reduced permanent disability awards.
