Car accident injures 18-month-old child
Recently, an 18-month-old girl was injured in a car accident in Sun Valley, California, and flown to the hospital. The investigation into the car accident is still ongoing, but the toddler’s injury may have occurred as a result of the driver attempting to park a car. The girl was flown to the hospital and was announced to be in serious condition, but that she did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
Victims of car accidents know that the experience can be an extremely traumatic one, even in instances where the injuries are not life-threatening. In addition to the physical trauma, there is also the emotional impact of the accident. Surviving a car accident or witnessing a loved one or a friend get injured or killed in an accident is an event that causes great amounts of stress, anxiety and grief. After the emotional impact, there is also the problem of dealing with insurance companies that may not be completely willing to cooperate with the insured.
Any victim of a car accident is entitled to just compensation for their injuries. Compensation can take the form of monetary damages rewarded by the court from the defendant to the victim, as well as from the insurance company. A plaintiff in a car accident case may recover monetary damages for lost wages, medical expenses and many other costs stemming from the accident.
Car accident victims in California are entitled to fair compensation. These victims need not suffer financially for the poor decisions of another driver.
