Workers’ Compensation Case Settles For Over $1.3 Million
Jane was employed by a telecom company for approximately 6 months as a telephone operator. In November, 1999 she was at work and went to sit down on a chair with rollers, but the chair slipped out from under her and she fell. As a result, she suffered injury to her back, arms, and hands. She had suffered prior injuries (2 prior work related injuries and 1 non-industrial auto accident) to those same body parts, but had been able to work after those injuries had healed. After her fall from the chair at the telecom company, however, she required multiple surgeries and extensive treatment, all resulting in disability. After this worker received some workers’ compensation benefits, this case settled for over $1.3 million in November 2011.
